Sheila was a successful student at Archbishop Williams High School in Braintree.
In addition to her academic success, she was also a Massachusetts finalist in the Betty Crocker Homemakers contest.
In her senior year, the Boston Archdiocese awarded her a full scholarship to the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C., where she earned a degree in philosophy.
I knew her as a child. I lived across the street in gray Gables and was best friends with her brother John. (Mac) The last time I ate meat was at her wedding, at the Gray gables Inn. Not sure if her sister Margaret or John are still on the right side of the grass. Sheila had an awareness of political issues, social justice and activism at an early age. I was thinking about the family the other day and Googled her. I was sorry to hear of her passing. I remember her HUGE heart fondly. Love the pictures of them on the MarJon the family boat, moored in Gray Gables harbor.
